What if you were to take the Daedelus PSP emulator and RE-coded it to GP2X format? Would that not make it avaible to work?

Im not a coder and dont own a GP2X yet, so im still new.
Quick google search shows Daedelus is still heavy work in progress. (games running only at 20% speed if they run at all)

But i find that this product is not well advertised. The way i found it was through a add that poped up!
Atleast it doesn't advertize trough forum spam :X

I don't even think gamepark holdings knows the exact means of which they advertize, I guess they just hired an advertizing company. (I found the GP2X trough a slashdot post, how nerdy is that? :X)

Actually i don't think GPH does any advertising at all.
If there is any, it's most likely done by the distributors and shops...

GPH has since a few months an English speaking employee, that improves communication a lot. But it still sucks... Ever seen GPH responding on forums?

kk. So the N64 emulator will most likely not be seen on the GP2X, right?

Ok,so know i know more on this handheld. OH i got another question, does the GBA emulator require the GBA bios? And does any one here own a PSP? And does the GP2X have L+R triggers?

Yes.
Yes (not me, but GP2x.info said he owns one)
Yes, 8 buttons, LR, ABXY, Start, Select. Then you have the 8 directional stick, which you can also press downwards for another button (But most stuff doesn't use that as the stick click feels a bit unnatural)

Yep, i own a PSP. bought it for 3D games like GTA. Running on alternative firmware. I always get crampy fingers when playing on the PSP due to the terrible placement of the horrible analog stick... Many people complain about the gp2x stick, but that's like 100-times better then the PSP stick.

I like the PSP, but i love the gp2x...

If you try hard enough. But, if you don't flash the bootloader (never put up gp2xboot.img on your SD card) then you can always reflash the firmware. It's the only part that needs to be intact. So as long as you don't reflash your bootloader you can always unbrick it.
And even better, if you don't flash your firmware then you have no chance of bricking it. And there is currently no real reason to flash your firmware. (as long as you have atleast 2.1, which every should should have as default by now)

to choose between psp and gp2x you need to figure out what you want to do with it.

if you like commercial games, 3d stuff and fast paced graphical games, go for the psp.

if you love oldschool, if you like homebrew, if you don't mind configuring stuff, go for the gp2x.

PS: i'd choose the gp2x over a psp anytime..
