I voted for "adjustable backlight" because I don't think that anything else would be good.
Powered USB would result in the substitution of the AA-batteries and I think that this would be a bad thing. And it's really not a big problem to power things external.
The soldering isn't really bad. (only from the first 500 units shipped to koreans) The headphone-problem exists because the port is only hold by the soldering and not because of bad soldering.
I don't like d-pads at all after experience the very nice stick of the gp32.
Do anyone really needs more buttons? Oo
Both a better CPU and more memory would raise costs. Changing the CPU would be the worst they could do. Emulators and games wouldn't be optimised anymore and as a result they wouldn't be compatible with old units anymore.

yeah, CF... could this ever happen? Imagine a >4GB microdrive...

I'd go for Line-In
(s.a. http://www.derekscholte.nl/GP2XForum/viewtopic.php?t=271)

It seems they didn't provide that many interfaces, hardware-wise, did they?

about CF - wouldn't that be possible with a ext-to-usbhost cable and a usb card reader? (hmm quite expensive though i would imagine)

actually - i'd really like some better speakers. i have the gbc, gba, gba sp, nds and various other devices and most are consideraly louder than the gp2x. I can't hear my music in a crowd anymore Sad
also, the sound usually degrades at max volume - this is a real pain considering that some of my songs are considerably quieter, so i have to hop from max to just-below max vol...

P.S. i've been told a mk2 gp2x (mine says F100-B on the back) is bricked by inserting a fat16 or fat formatted SD card.. is this true?

GPH plans to add support for these new type of sd cards, which support >4gb, through software. (they seem to be nearly the same as the normal sd cards from the hardware side)

Sounds a bit like you activated the volume limitation in the settings.

Bullshit. The GP2X only detects sd cards formated in fat (fat16 and fat32) btw...

Try to turn the music down a little bit. Tongue

I would test it myself but I don't hear like a normal person anymore since two weeks.  Sad

You could try to use gmu (http://archive.gp2x.de/cgi-bin/cfiles.cgi?0,0,0,0,6,1857) and watch if it sounds better.
